Singapore

Singapore consists of one larger and 54 smaller islands. Strategically located for communications and trade, Singapore is Asia’s cleanest and greenest city.

The growth of the Church in Singapore has been steady and sustained since 1970. Evangelicals increased 20-fold from 1960 to 2010; 1 out of 13 people in Singapore is now Evangelical. There are over 50 A/G churches in this country of close to 5 million people— with two mega-churches serving a combined 10,000 worshippers every week.

Excellent theological training opportunities abound in Singapore, such as the Assemblies of God Bible College. AGBC has graduated over 200 ministerial workers who are now serving in diverse mission fields in Asia, Africa, America, Australia, and Europe.

Prayer Needs:

  • Increasing social concerns—include broken marriages, family violence, elderly poor, dysfunctional youth, depression, issues of sexuality, drug abuse and gambling addiction. Pray that these strongholds will be broken.
  • Workers to reach students—Pray for the discipling of a new generation with ministry that is relevant, fresh and full of spiritual power.
